Allison Megrath, President of Megrath Consulting, successfully passed the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Environmental Training program sponsored by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.  This training provided an in-depth understanding of Part 68 Environmental Review used for CDBG and other Federal Programs.

Allison Megrath was honored to be asked by FDOT to provide insight at their 2017 TransPlex (Transportation, Planning, Exchange) Conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.  Ms. Megrath was part of a panel discussion regarding innovative strategies for funding.  Her emphasis was on efforts to obtain funding for Florida's rural communities and the support network that exists within the Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Team.   Other speakers provided insight on grant opportunities, public outreach tools, stakeholder engagement and use of Federal Funds.

Ms. Megrath was successful assisting Columbia County being awarded almost $300,000 in Rural Infrastructure Fund grant.  For more information on rural funding opportunities, please contact us at 352-672-4124.

Megrath Consulting, Inc. has been certified by Alachua County as a Small Business Enterprise.  Alachua County cites that "The purpose of the Small Business Enterprise Assistance Program is to encourage the growth of small businesses by helping them to participate in the Alachua County purchasing and procurement system."  

Having this certification provides a competitive advantage for bid opportunities in Alachua County.  We look forward to future opportunities to provide land use planning and zoning services, to Alachua County.
